What's new in 2021 Porsche 911 GT3?
After months of waiting, the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 sports car was launched with improvements in design and standard equipment.
Similar to previous generations of Porsche 911 GT3, the new 992-generation version is equipped with a variety of technologies transferred from Porsche GT3 racing models. Specifically, the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 is improved externally to increase aerodynamics as well as the ability to cool the engine.

One noticeable change is that the front bumper design is cut deeper into the interior, resulting in improved aerodynamics. Airflow going directly into the front bumper is now directed in two air outlets located on the hood. Customers can also opt for a carbon fiber capo to reduce the overall weight of the car.
With the optional Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur package, customers can also personalize their vehicle, such as optional carbon fiber rearview mirror ears, dark headlamps, newly designed tail lights as well as wheel rims according to Guards Red or Shark Blue ...
One of the highlights of this upgrade is the "swan neck" rear spoiler, which was inspired by the Porsche 911 RSR. The driver can actively adjust the tilt of the spoiler to change the pressure on the road surface.
Like all 992-generation 911 models, the Porsche 911 GT3 2021 only has a wide body variant, but the German automaker has not published this exact number. The car weighs about 1,418 kg for the version using a 6-speed manual transmission, and 1,435 kg with the version equipped with a 7-speed PDK gearbox.
The design and production of the 911 GT3 2021 aims to maximize weight efficiency such as the front luggage compartment made of CFRP - carbon fiber reinforced composites, lightweight tempered glass, disc brakes improved, cast alloy wheels and lightweight sports seats ... This makes the new 911 GT3 only 5 kg heavier than its "predecessor".
Moreover, the German sports car company also equips the 2021 911 GT3 with an exhaust system that is 10 kg lighter than the standard version. The system includes exhaust butterfly wings to deliver a thrilling sound, yet still meets increasingly demanding emissions standards.
Porsche 911 GT3 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine block with many technologies inherited from the 911 GT3 R race car. The vehicle has a maximum capacity of 510 codes force, 10 horsepower more powerful than the previous 991 generation 911 GT3.
The latest Porsche 911 GT3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 320 km / h, faster than the previous generation 911 GT3 RS. With the new engine block, the rpm limit is extended to 10,000 rpm.
For the first time ever, the Porsche 911 GT3 is equipped with a suspension system with dual swingarm structure for the front wheel, which was inspired by the GT3 Cup competition models. The rear axle is equipped with a multi-point suspension system, similar to the other 992 versions, with rear-wheel steering.
The front and rear brake discs are 408 mm and 380 mm in diameter, respectively. However, Porsche has not released information on the option of its new carbon-ceramic brake system. 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, or optional Michelin Cup 2 R racecourse tires with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear tires.
The 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 price will start more than 170,000 USD. / ph: Porsche
The interior of the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 is also quite similar to the 992-generation variants. However, the 911 GT3 is also equipped with a “Track Screen” feature. With just one function key, unnecessary information is shifted to the left and right sub-screens, giving room for essential track information such as tire pressure readings, engine oil pressure, oil temperature, fuel level, cooling water temperature ... In addition, the 911 GT3 is also equipped with a gear-shift indicator on the dashboard display.
The interior of the car also allows customers to personalize a variety of equipment through the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur package such as a carbon fiber hood, rev counter, Sport Chrono clock, seat belt, interior cladding ... In addition to the 911 GT3, customers can also personalize a Porsche Design watch in titanium, as well as a dial with a color similar to the vehicle's exterior.
Like other Porsche cars, the 2021's 911 GT3 was also tested on the famous Nurburgring-Nordschleife 20.8 km long track. The car achieved 6 minutes 59,927 seconds, 17 seconds faster than its predecessor. Porsche 911 GT3 will begin to be delivered to customers in May this year. According to some unofficial sources, the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 price will start more than 170,000 USD.
