About Korea’s beauty device market

In Korea, middle-aged people are the ones who often buy premium beauty devices. However, nowadays, the percentage of people at the age of 20s and 30s is becoming larger and larger. Sales of the Pra.L Derma LED Mask from LG Electronics at Lotte Department is said to rise about 20 percent in the first 6 months of 2019, compared to that in 2018. With the expansion of Samsung Electronics stores in retailers, sales of Cellreturn’s beauty devices also reached the highest number on year.

The at-home beauty device market is also becoming more popular. Each year, this sector grows around 10 percent with the market value is said to expand to 500 billion won by the end of 2018. The LG Economic Research Institute forecasts that home-use beauty device market will hit 1.6 trillion won by 2022. With this beauty device trend, Lotte introduced a facial mist that can have sterilizing effects on people’s face. This at-home beauty product is sold at Eliden Studio and Eliden Play so people can go to these places if they want to purchase a product for themselves.

In short, beauty device trend in Korea is rapidly growing. People nowadays not only pay attention to makeup products but also home beauty products because they want to always look good at anytime. Following Vuhes daily for more updates about latest beauty news and trends.
