Why does Gucci create the new account with different beauty content?

The reason is that Gucci is following in the footsteps of other fashion brands to expand their future beauty footprint. And Instagram is a right place to expanding their beauty footprint because it has 200 million beauty fans globally on the platform which accounts for 25 percent of Instagram’s users.

What makes it so special?

Unlike other typical beauty brand accounts, it is not about makeup style, lipsticks or new fashion trends. It is much like an art page which will give a new look of art masterpieces from over the world. For example; some artistic pieces are from reputable museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
And to give detailed background on these wonderful pieces, Gucci tapped a group of five art writers. They are responsible for writing captions which call out beauty elements in the paintings, different beauty practices from around the world and the unique ways that artist captured details. Besides, through these captions, we can know more about the preserved and evolved process of beauty as well as the effects of eras and cultures on beauty.

Since the @guccibeauty was born, it has received a lot of positive responds from the customers. For instance, after a short time opened, the Gucci’s new account has nearly 5,500 fans, whereas Gucci’s main page has 27.9 million. Moreover, the account had already shared 27 in-feed posts with likes topping 1,000 by mid-Monday right after the weekend separating beauty content.
