Cathay Pacific collabs with PressReader to bring passengers new experiences 

PressReader is a personalized news app working on Android, iOS, WebOS, Blackberry and even on Windows 7. It allows users to access and read more than 1,000 newspapers from all around the world. Recently, Cathay Pacific has collaborated with PressReader to help their passengers enjoy unforgettable travel experiences. And in order to strengthen  its publisher tools, PressReader has acquired News360.



Cathay Pacific collaborates with PressReader to improve travel experiences

The cooperation between Cathay Pacific and PressReader enables passengers to read and access to the world’s best newspapers and magazines when they fly with Cathay Pacific or Cathay Dragon. The passengers can review and browse the library of PressReader 48 hours before flying. From that, passengers can save as many as they’d like to their own device. This new technology used in airline industry will help passengers to keep and read anywhere, anytime with thousands of articles available on the app; catch up on news from their home with the latest edition of local newspapers or discover stories from the place they’re visiting. In addition, the app can help users quickly translate most of the stories into 18 different languages. 

PressReader acquired News360 to enhance reader experience

Recently, the Vancouver Canada-based magazine platform has acquired New360, a publisher analytics platform and content personalization. Alex Kroogman, CEO of PressReader said that PressReader use technology of News360 to enhance reader experience. 

In fact, News360’s NLP technology will be used to hyper-personalize experience for readers by integrating into aggregated platform of PressReader. From that, it will help display content that is suitable to each reader at the right time. 30 staffs of News360 will join PressReader and work at their Vancouver headquarters. 

Actually, the development of advanced technology has brought people a lot of convenient and useful applications. PressReader and other online news publishing platforms will surely provide users the best services and experiences in the near future.
