Forskolin can affect lipolysis positively, leading to weight loss
Forskolin can affect lipolysis positively, leading to weight loss

Forskolin has been trendy these days as one of the herbs for weight loss that work. In India, this plant has been used as in a remedy for cardiovascular, respiratory and gastrointestinal problems for many years before. According to researches, the impact of this herbal on weight loss is still limited.

However, besides a balanced diet and exercise for weight loss which are needed to get a perfect body, it is still consumed daily by many people. They consider it one of the most effective herbal supplements for losing weight because it can affect weight loss in our body. The active ingredients in this herbal extract for weight loss can affect the lipolysis positively, thus leaving your workouts to be more effective.

A team of researchers at the University of Kansas conducted a clinical study to find out whether this widely-used herbal extract for weight loss is effective or not. 15 obese and overweight men who participated in this study took 250mg of 10% forskolin extract twice a day for 12 weeks. Other 15 men of a similar weight range took dummy pills. Then, they compared the difference between 2 groups of men to determine the natural plant extract for weight loss.

The group who took in forskolin experienced a significant loss in the amount of fat and an increase in their bone mass and testosterone level, as compared to the placebo group. After this research was public, more people believe in the effectiveness of the medically proven weight loss supplements.

However, in another study to discover whether forskolin can help reduce weight loss, the result was not that positive. The randomized study released in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition in December 2005 was conducted with the participation of 23 overweight women. They took 250mg of 10% herbal extract for weight loss twice a day for 12 weeks. The research showed no weight loss effects of this natural plant to lose weight on these women. However, the good news is that this herb can prevent further weight gain.

Obviously, more research is required to determine the real effectiveness of this herbal extract for weight loss.
