Boeing invests in Luxury Electric Flying Cars

January 27, 2020

You may not know it. But one of top aerospace companies in the world – Boeing is investing in luxury electric flying cars.

These new luxury electric flying cars are produced for wealthy people

Boeing – The next aerospace giant invests in Luxury Electric Flying Cars

Boeing has partnered with Porsche in this project. Their goal is to build luxury electric flying cars (namely electric takeoff and landing aircraft (VTOL)) for the rich.

These new luxury electric flying cars are very useful especially in the context of the situation of traffic congestion becoming more serious as today. They are the latest aerospace giant to announce their intention to explore this potential urban air mobility market but also a risky market.

Many companies try to create an electric tram network with the intention that people at all income levels will be able to afford tickets. However, this is not impossible. The costs associated with creating an infrastructure to support vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL), including flight decks and charging stations, are very high. Obviously this is only suitable for the rich.

This project shows us that Boeing wants to be a leader in modern and luxury transportation.

Boeing is not the only aerospace giant interested in electric flight. Airbus – Boeing’s opponent – showed off its Vahana eVTOL aircraft on a test flight last year. However, unlike Boeing, Airbus plans to launch its own private taxi network.

In fact, because Boeing is one of the largest aerospace companies in the world, they have resources and technical capacity to carry out this project sooner than most.

The project is well worth the hope because these new luxury electric flying cars are intended to help transport passengers faster and more flexibly.
