The noticeable boom

While beauty care products from Korea continue to flourish in the Western market, Japan is also beginning to expand the reach of beauty products beyond the national borders. In 2018, J-Beauty has seen a significant increase in consumer activity, retail sales and profits in the United States and other countries.

By 2015, the Japanese cosmetics market is valued at $ 28.62 billion. This figure is expected to increase to $ 45.64 billion by 2020. The Japanese market is driven by the introduction of new products and the addition of enhanced benefits to existing products.

The statistics of the International Trade Administration show that Japan has the highest per capita expenditure on cosmetics despite strict regulations on marketing and selling of such products.

This may be mainly due to the sense of beauty and health associated with the international perception of Japanese culture. Consumers are attracted to the concepts of minimalism and style elegance. FJapan has a rich history of beauty traditions, and its personal care treatments are highly valued. Versatile products are common. Skin health supplements such as seaweed, rice, and green tea are included in many of the cosmetics of this country.

The rise of J-beauty is drawing the attention of critics. Japanese brands are described as weak, quiet, and traditional, while the K beauty brands are described as significant, trending and noticeable.

However, a sharp increase in Japanese beauty exports has shown tremendous opportunities for brands to reach new markets. J-beauty is also enhancing the diversity of the global beauty industry – and this is an excellent time to introduce the brands by offering products that are suitable for different types of skin and hair. This is done quickly through social media.

J-beauty is a beauty trend now. Lets wait for the expansion of this beauty industry all over the world.
