Avon creates a digital beauty app

December 03, 2018

People are putting more and more pressure on beauty industry by showing their variety of demands. Along with good products from prestigious brands, customers also want to receive personalised service from beauty companies. That is the reason why Avon has launched a digital tool, known as Avon’s Personalised Beauty App for representatives to deliver tailored personalised advice to clients.

About the app

Avon’s Personalised Beauty App was built in partnership with Techkon, an innovative industry leader in color measurement solutions. The app can take pictures of its clients, measure skin shade and identify skincare needs through a series of questions. The answers from customers are used to generate personalised product recommendations.

Avon’s Personalised Beauty App makes the personalised, trusted service of its representatives  backed by scientific and digital innovations. As a result, people are able to choose the right shade for their skin tone quickly and conveniently. They do not need to waste a large amount of money on inappropriate products that they see in the market but still have a perfect one with affordable price.

Avon’s target

According to Avon’s Chief Scientific Officer Louise Scott, the brand is taking interest in creating high quality, high- tech innovation available to its Beauty Entrepreneurs as well as their clients. It knows that instead of latest products, women tend to receive real beauty insight tailored to their individual needs. Then, the brand offers a technology as mentioned before to satisfy its customers.

To sum up, Avon’s new app has marked the latest milestone in the transformation of its digital strategy. Thanks to it, the brand can fuel the business growth through enhanced interactions with representatives and with customers.
