12 things to do when feeling lonely



Feeling lost, seeming to be in the worst state ever, you have never experienced this feeling ... What will you do to get rid of the heavy and lonely although there are many people around, but does not alleviate the feeling of loneliness in you?  At times like this, what would you do?

 Usually, when we feel lonely and out of place, we feel so bad, depressed, and we don't want to do anything.  What others advise us does not much helpful in the meantime.

1. Going through that feeling yourself

 Have you ever been walking alone on the road, feeling like the whole world has stopped and you alone and get lost in life?  You feel insecure and lonely, you don't want yourself to take the tired and bored steps and don't know how to stop?  

Tell yourself: everyone feels like this and they get over it on their own.  Do not worry, do not panic because everything will pass, and you still have to persistently face all the difficulties and stumbles in life.  Just a little time, a little privacy for yourself, you will overcome that feeling of emptiness.

2. Immerse yourself in the memory

 Sometimes there are obvious reasons that make you lonely like losing loved ones, broken love… surely, you will be hard to forget the truth that happened.  If you are alone in the absence of someone, instead of trying to forget it, you must accept the truth and find ways to comfort yourself.  You can listen to soothing music while reviewing pictures of the person, and try to remember the good memories you have had, you might even cry.

 This way will help you feel like you are reliving the beautiful moments that you have together.  From there, the feeling of loneliness, sadness will pass quickly, your mood will gradually become more balanced and comfortable.

3. Doing what you love

 One of the best ways to forget loneliness is to do what you love.  For example, playing the piano, singing karaoke, practicing sports, dancing, cooking, listening to music ... These favorite activities will help your spirit become more comfortable and cheerful.

4. Meeting and chatting with friends

 If you stay indoors forever, loneliness will inevitably surround you.  So go out to meet your friends and chat with them.  Witty and interesting stories from others will help you feel good and uplifting.  This is also an opportunity for you to meet and make new friends.  Maybe you will find a lot of new joy for yourself from these new friends.

5. Enjoy the joy of being alone

 If you have to do everyday tasks by yourself such as shopping, exercising, walking in the park, watching music ... don't think this is a sad and embarrassing thing to be alone. No matter how others think about you, you should let your own ears enjoy your own joy and happiness in these jobs.

6. Watching comedy

 When you are sad and lonely, you should watch comedy a lot because there is no good and fastest way to help you forget loneliness with laughter.  If you are lucky, you can share those cheery smiles with your friends through fun-filled comedies, because of course having many friends around will make you happier than alone.

7. Filling your emptiness

 In these times, to overcome feelings of loneliness, depression, find some pleasures for yourself.  Why not?  Why don't you fill the void in your own soul by yourself?  

Go to the place you wish to be, experience the feeling of traveling alone, reflect on the past journey and the journey ahead of yourself.  Only when you know what you need in life does that feeling of looseness arise.  But at any time you can see it again, when your path is no longer the right direction.

 How about doing the things you like?  Painting cute animals or make cute teddy bears, helping you to alleviate loneliness and look comfortable and adorn your room.  Watching your favorite comedies or listen to music that makes you feel better.  All of which help you to fill the emptiness of your soul.

 If you are unable to overcome some sadness on your own, do not always gnaw your grief, share them with your loved ones who want to help you overcome boredom in your life at this time.

 Tell them what you are thinking, feeling, and what is bothering you.  You can listen to their advice or ask them to do something for you.  Remember, you just need people around you who are willing to help you.  During that time, you should not turn your back on the people beside you.  

There are times when we are weak, we should not overcome ourselves, but let us hold the hands of close friends.  This will give you more courage and strength to walk on the path of life.

Feeling lonely and lost will always appear in our lives, it is important that we know how to overcome those difficult moments by ourselves.  Do not be discouraged and pessimistic, cheer up and look forward to the good things of life to live strongly!

 Taking advantage of the internet is one of the best things to do when you feel lonely.  Joining an online community is fun because it not only helps you forget about lonely times but is also a great way to make friends.  Through the online community, you can meet many friends and learn more from your predecessors who are in the same mood as you.

9. Creating busyness

 You can clean the house, the bedroom, rearrange the items in the kitchen, practice sports or any other job ... as long as you keep busy you will not have time to feel lonely any more.  These simple activities are like exercises.  They not only keep you busy, but also keep you fit and active.  The satisfaction you get from exercise will make you feel better.

10. Helping others

 No matter how bad you feel, think that there are many people who are in a much worse situation than you.  Therefore, you should join a volunteer group to help those less fortunate than you.  Not only will you do a lot of good things, you will also feel a lot better.

11. Raising pets

 In addition to the above methods, you can also keep pets indoors for your own fun.  Cats, puppies or birds ... are adorable and helpful animals.  Keeping them indoors, make sure the air in your home will become more vibrant and joyful.  From there, it helps you to effectively improve your loneliness.

 Everyone experiences this bad feeling, no one lives in this world and has never felt out of place from the world around them.  Heavy and exhausted, mental and physical breakdown make us want to get into our own boxes.  Quiet and filled with shadows, when you want to sit by yourself, listen to your favorite music, wander the streets with many memories, or go to a crowded supermarket to forget your feelings of emptiness.

These times you want to be alone, not to be disturbed by anyone even if it is the person you love most - Because this is the time when you need to live in your own world.

 So, when someone is feeling sad, lonely and empty, let them fill their own void.  Because no matter what you do, it feels uncomfortable for them.  Leave them alone with their thoughts, after dissolving the ice that weighs on them, they will return to their previous world, to relatives, friends and colleagues.  Don't panic, they simply need a little space and time for themselves.
